Plug the Sun, will be part in the 4th ARE Energy Access Investment Forum that will take place in Catania (Sicily), Italy from 13 March 2018 to 15 March 2018.
The conference will touch upon the key topic of “Integrating Remote Communities into Economies” with the aim to to enhance global efforts to promote a level-playing field for decentralised clean energy technology and business solutions.
Since its 1st edition in Madrid in 2015, the annual ARE Forum has become the key milestone event in spring where the clean energy off-grid sector gathers together to learn more about upcoming new support schemes and initiatives by the public sector as well as the latest industry trends and product and service innovations from the private sector.
The ARE Forum in 2018 is organised in collaboration with RES4Africa, and RECP and is the meeting place for 300+ participants from all over the world to identify and get introduced to the most interesting actors to present their own business proposals.
RES4Africa is a network of key international energy stakeholders – utilities, industries, agencies, technical service providers and top academia, engaged in promoting clean tech solutions in the Sub-Saharan continent.
The Africa-EU Renewable Energy Cooperation Programme (RECP) is a multi-donor programme that supports the development of markets for renewable energy in Africa. It was launched by more than 35 African and European Ministers and Commissioners under the Africa-EU Energy Partnership (AEEP).
